Architectural Soundproofing Requirements
- Bulkhead design on walls to match the ceiling pattern
- Water repellent facing for ease of maintenance
- Fireproof facing to comply with BCA group 1 fire classifications requirements
- High sound absorption capacity, with a sound absorption co-efficient of 0.81 at 250 Hz and 1.13 at 500Hz, with an overall NRC (Noise reduction
coefficient) of 1.01
Soundproofing Solution
Megasorber P50W-RW and Megasorber P50B-B 50mm thick acoustic panels with a water repellent, fireproof and sound absorbing Soundmesh G8 facing were
used for soundproofing.
The panels were cut to specification for the 1.55m x 1.55m square span pattern, then laid into the U-hat suspended grid system for easy installation.
